Primary responsibilities for this position will include being an active member of the team creating and teaching in the Early Childhood Education Program that leads to a PK-2 ECE endorsement and collaborating with stakeholders within the professional community. Additional teaching responsibilities and opportunities might include supporting face-to-face and online programs in teacher education, observation of pre-service teachers, and other applicable duties in the Education Department. The person will also be expected to be involved in professional scholarship in the field, actively pursue grants and provide service to the University and to the profession. Review of applications will begin on February 17, 2014. Doctorate in early childhood education/elementary education or related fields. Possess a valid teaching certification with an early childhood endorsement. Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience in schools at the PK-second grade levels. Successful leadership experience in administration or professional development programs. Experience developing courses/education programs that qualify for state/national accreditation. Evidence of, or potential for, excellence in teaching and scholarship.
