Dispatches Public Safety Officers by working in partnership with the department shift, students, faculty, staff and visitors to assist in protecting people, securing property, solving problems, and enhancing communication. Position will be responsible to receive calls for and dispatch security services, operate base radios, answer phones, monitor alarm systems and closed circuit television screens; and relay radio/telephone communications. -High school diploma or equivalent (Associates Degree in security or criminal justice preferred). -1-2 years' related experience required -Must have strong interpersonal/communication skills as position will have high interaction with the public. -Ability to speak clearly and distinctly -Ability to react calmly during emergency situations in order to relay information to appropriate personnel -Must be detail oriented and organized
