A postdoctoral scholar "postdoc" is an individual holding a doctoral degree who is engaged in a temporary and defined period, typically less than 5 years, of mentored research and/or advanced scholarly training for the purpose of acquiring the professional skills needed to pursue a career path of his/her choosing. This person will perform research under the supervision and mentorship of a more senior researcher, often called the postdoctoral advisor. In this role ideal candidate will apply scientific principles, education, training and experience to assist in ongoing research activities in a very active research laboratory setting. Will assist with laboratory experiments in accordance with prepared and approved protocols. Additional responsibilities will include conduct and design of experiments, collection and analysis of data, preparation of data for presentation, and preparation of research results for publication. -Doctorate Degree in related field -1-3 years' experience
