Job Duties:

This position provides leadership and oversight in the design, planning and implementation of the SHLapos;s Center for Public Health Sciences- educational programs both on and off campus.


Primary Duties:


Directs and oversees the operations of the Center, including maintenance of the facility; preparation of materials; and maintenance of the instructional and laboratory equipment, specialized laboratories, audiovisual equipment, and technology applications.


Oversees managerial and financial review; recommends budget allocations, reviews and approves operational expenditures; and analyzes, monitors and reports financial data, information and reports.


Consults and collaborates with UI and SHL faculty and staff and with external partners (e.g. Kirkwood, iExploreSTEM) regarding instructional needs and the application of instructional design and tools in the delivery of instruction.


Continuously expands the use of the Center through development of new partners and new funding streams.


Assist in finding and obtaining funding for Center equipment and activities.


Participates in the development of strategic initiatives in the areas of marketing, communication and outreach for the Center.
