U.S. Ethnic and/or Immigrant Literatures – English
Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor in U.S. Ethnic and/or Immigrant Literatures for the Department of English to begin September 1, 2009.
We seek candidates who have an earned doctorate, but will consider candidates who have achieved ABD status. We seek an individual with an emphasis in Latino/a American, Native American, African American, and/or Asian American literatures (preference given in order above).
Primary teaching responsibilities will include introductory and advanced literature courses for the major and general education; the teaching load is six courses per year. In order to enhance our students’ educational experiences, we encourage applicants who have academic experiences and interests in culturally diverse groups.
