UNIQUE JOB – Enrolment Services
To provide information, guidance and direction to prospective
students, current students and the general public regarding
recruitment, admission, student records and registration and all
other supporting functions. Duties include: interpreting and
accurately communicating written policies; reconciling records and
identifying discrepancies; responding to oral and written enquiries
of an interpretive nature; referring complex enquiries
appropriately; assisting students in making application for ACCESS
Studies; providing guidance and monitoring students; mapping
current processes; redesigning processes using input from
colleagues and other student service units; acting as liaison with
external agencies; making recommendations for change to UBC
policies and procedures; analyzing and completing certificates of
enrollment for RESPs and other external agencies; giving direction
to students regarding Reviews of Assigned Standing; forwarding and
following-up on requests to faculty and/or department;
communicating decision to student; informing student about process
of Senate appeals; providing information regarding fee assessments;
resolving issues; identifying and remedying content on Ask Me @
UBC; participating as team member on various projects; making
presentations; participating in recruitment and training of staff;
acting as cashier; dealing with customer complaints and resolving
problems; and performing other related duties.
