Position Details:
The Department invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in analytical chemistry, effective August 2009. At the University of Iowa, analytical chemistry is broadly defined and research is predicated upon fundamental science. The Department has appointed nine new faculty in five years and recently completed a major building renovation. Highly competitive salaries and start-up packages are provided. Applicants should clearly demonstrate potential to develop and lead a nationally prominent, externally funded research program; commitment to excellence in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels; and the ability to prepare persuasive proposals. Candidates must have a PhD and postdoctoral experience and demonstrated research scholarship and productivity.
