Position Details:
The Department of Chemistry invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position effective August 2009 in the broadly defined areas of Organic or Inorganic Chemistry and will offer a highly competitive salary and start-up package. The Department is in the midst of a major expansion that has resulted in the appointment of nine new faculty in five years and extensive renovation of teaching and research laboratories. Applicants should demonstrate clear potential to develop and lead a nationally prominent, externally funded research program and have a commitment to excellence in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Candidates must have a Ph.D., postdoctoral experience, and a demonstrated record of research scholarship and productivity.
