ZERO Manufacturing is a leading manufacturer and supplier of ruggedized cases. Our high performance enclosures are known world-wide, and are used in commercial, industrial and military applications. We have an immediate need for a CNC Operator

The CNC Operator is responsible for production runs of assigned work order intended for the CNC machines. For setting up tooling and operating the mac to produce acceptable parts that meet blueprint specifications by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The CNC Operator is responsible for production runs of assigned work order intended for the CNC machines. For setting up tooling and operating the mac to produce acceptable parts that meet blueprint specifications by performing the following duties: (other duties may be assigned)

• Daily organized and effective production runs by prioritizing due dates and evaluation of work flow.
• Lays out or details a layout from blueprints (computer generated programs and set up sheets) for all work assigned.
• Starts CNC Machines through established startup procedures, (Machine safety check sheets will be filled out daily)
• Selects tool positioning based off set up sheets.
• First part inspection required on all parts produced using micrometer, calipers, height gauges, radius gauges. (Operators are required to perform First part inspection for other operations in the department).
• Follows all safety rules and policy per equipment guidelines and Zero Manufacturing s policies.
• Responsible for all assigned preventative maintenance of the CNC Machines (including tooling and machines).
• Reports all equipment failures to area lead and supervisor
• Regular work attendance required with frequent daily overtime that may include working Saturdays .
• Must have the ability to accurately count parts and to verify that quantities match quantity specified on the work instruction (Traveler / Router) and record correct information accurately.
• Willing and able to learn and operate all other positions on the shop floor with provided training and assistance as determined by on-going business needs.
• Willing and able to provide others with cross-training assistance for all trained positions.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. • Ability to read and interpret and follow documents such as detailed complex drawings and blueprints, operating work instructions, safety rules and procedures, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. (All instruction are written in English Language)
• Ability to work with close tolerances using true position and insure parts are manufactured to meet the tolerances specified.
• Must have the ability to accurately count parts and to verify that quantities match quantity specified on the work instruction (Traveler / Router) and record correct information accurately.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis, standing and walking during the full shift.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to problem solve and to work in a team environment. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school and/or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
