Utah Transit Authority announces an opening in the Accounting Department for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/TRAINING: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in Accounting.

EXPERIENCE: Two years related work experience including accounts receivable processing, tax reporting and bookkeeping. This position requires a credit check. Knowledge: • Basic knowledge of accounts receivable principles • General office procedures Skills: • Type 20 WPM, net • 2010 Microsoft Office software proficiency at the beginning level in Word and Outlook. • 2010 Microsoft Office software proficiency at the intermediate level in Excel. • Basic computations • Good verbal and written communication skills • 10-key adding machine Abilities: • Ability to operate office equipment, such as copier, printer, etc. • Ability to accurately file documents and maintain files – OR – An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Initiates accounts receivable invoicing and collections in accordance with UTA policy and interlocal and/or other agreement requirements. Understands accounts receivable accounting. Coordinates with all UTA departments regarding accounts receivable issues. Participates in month-end closing process.

PAY RATE: $14.809 per hour
