The Director contributes to the overall goals of the CAP Center by supporting intellectual, social, cultural and recreational activities, while creating an enriched co-curricular experience that enhances and supports the mission of the University. She/he reports to the Associate Dean of Students and supervises the Assistant Director of Campus Activities and Programs. The Director serves as the primary contact and consultant for student organizations and advisers, as well as a liaison between student organizations and other departments. In conjunction with her/his team, the Director is responsible for assessing social programming needs, providing leadership opportunities, and designing and implementing appropriate responses. Additionally, the Director participates in accountability for program content of office sponsored and University activities and for facility use by the CAP Center assuring compliance with University policies. This position requires some on-site event management and as such entails significant evening and weekend meeting and event attendance. A Master's degree in student personnel, higher education, or related field. Three to five years experience in higher education specifically Student Activities or related Student Affairs.
