Delaware State University Vacancy Announcement - Assistant/Associate Professor - Special Education Department of Education College of Education, Health and Public Policy Apply online at Applications will be accepted until position is filled   Primary Responsibilities : Successful candidate must teach required graduate and undergraduate courses, supervise various practical and student teaching experiences, advise students; and be responsive to other expectations required of Education Department faculty. Minimum Qualifications :  Candidate must possess an earned doctoral degree in Education, in the area of Special Education from an accredited program and institution of higher education. Candidate must have demonstrated knowledge and skills in effective teaching methodologies, inclusive practices, and use of instructional technology; must also have at least five years of K-12 teaching and/or supervisory experiences in inclusive settings; proficiency in oral and written communications; and demonstrated ability to work as a team with peers in diverse settings with diverse populations. Desired Qualifications : Candidate will possess teaching certification in K-12 Special Education and have met requirements to be considered Highly Qualified in K-12 Special Education; University teaching and student teaching supervision experience; experience in community collaborations and school partnerships; documented publications, grant writing experience and procurement of funds; knowledge and experience with the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
