The Biology Department at Creighton University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship to begin August 2014. The successful applicant will teach Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy and participate in General Biology offerings, in addition to one or more courses in the candidate's area(s) of expertise. Candidates should possess a strong desire to teach in a liberal arts environment. Mentoring of undergraduate research students is expected. Tenure and advancement require effective teaching and development of a research program leading to peer-reviewed publications. Opportunities exist for collaboration with faculty in the Environmental Sciences Program and Creighton's health sciences schools, as well as scientists at the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo.
