  • Summary: The Department of Neuroscience at the University of Arizona invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor starting in August 2014. Applicants holding a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and showing significant potential for innovation, scholarship, and commitment to excellence in research and teaching will be considered. While all applicants studying fundamental problems in neuroscience will be considered, applicants using genetic approaches to study the development, function and/or plasticity of neural circuits will be preferred. Successful candidates will be expected to establish and maintain a high-profile research program attracting substantial extramural funding and teach undergraduate and graduate students of neuroscience.
