Delaware State University Vacancy Announcement - Administrative Secretary Division of Institutional Advancement Apply online at Applications will be accepted until position is filled   The Division of Institutional Advancement seeks to employ an Administrative Secretary to perform secretarial support, ensure efficient and effective operation for the Division of Institutional Advancement, and provide quality customer relations to internal and external constituencies of the University.  The essential functions of the job are listed below. Performs routine office functions such as answering telephones, redirecting calls, receptionist coverage for the front office, sorting mail, scheduling meetings, arranging travel schedules, and composing routine correspondence. Maintains up-to-date and accurate files (manual and electronic) of budget requests, invoices, purchase orders and the like to assist the budget analyst in accurately managing the Division of Institutional Advance budgets. Creates basic reports and documents as requested. Maintains inventory of department’s office supplies, reordering when necessary. Edits and proofreads correspondence and reports. Inputs data (invoices, purchase orders) and actively and accurately uses accounting software (The Financial Edge/Raiser’s Edge). Input data (purchase requisitions, travel authorization) into the banner system. Qualification Standards: Note:  The University reserves the right to change or reassign job duties as provided in policy and negotiated agreements.   Minimum:  Associate’s degree or high school graduate with four years experience or more working in a professional office setting preferably at a college or university Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to interact with public in professional and pleasant manner. Computer proficiency in a Windows-based PC environment; f ability to learn or proven experience with common software packages such as Microsoft Office.
