Adjunct – Health Occupations Instructor – CPD

Provide health occupation professional instruction for Continuing & Professional Development (CPD) classes offered through San Jacinto College including the Central, North, and/or South campuses as well as other off-site locations if necessary. Meet course training objectives with excellent instructor evaluations. Complete all required San Jacinto College course completion paperwork in a timely fashion. Health Occupations Instructors include the following areas: Certified Nurse Aide Medication Aide Medical Office Professional Medical Billing and Coding EKG Instructor -CNA Instructor must have at least one (1) year long-term care experience. LVN or RN preferred. -Medication Aide Instructor must have at least one (1) year long-term care experience. RN preferred. -AAPC Medical Coding Instructor must be CPC certified and pursuing CPC Instructor certification. -Medical Office Professional Instructor must have at least two (2) years of job experience including basic billing & coding. CPC certification is preferred. -EKG Instructor must have at least two (2) years of job experience with advanced knowledge of EKGS, including 12 Lead and Holter monitoring. -Health Occupation Instructors in other emerging medical fields in areas of high demand, must have at least two (2) years of job experience, including advanced knowledge in the topic area. - For respective courses, professional skills and abilities acquired through a combination of education, training and business experience; - Training experience working with adult learners; - Effective oral and written communication skills; - Certification/Licensure within specific area of instruction is required.
