Accounting Specialist – CPD

1. Invoicing all CPD Business and Industry training, including paper invoice and Banner entry, based on company contract and audit of student registrations. 2. Invoicing all CPD grant activity which involves knowing individual grant terms, getting grant supervisors' approval and signature. 3. Reconciling all CPD accounts with records from the SJC District Business office. 4. Collecting payments for all CPD accounts 5. Creating Banner Contracts and ID numbers for all business and industry and grant activity 6. Maintaining spreadsheets for all CPD account activity 7. Serving as back-up for Banner Specialist 8. Serving as CPD Liaison between District Business Office and Office of Grants Management accountants 9. Making decisions regarding slow-pay customers. - Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent. - Must have at least three (3) years of experience in bookkeeping or other accounting related work experience. - Must have intermediate to advanced "user level" computer skills and MS Office software, including word, excel, access and outlook. - Must be able to perform mail merge in word and excel. - Must have experience using BANNER (database management). - Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. - Must have excellent oral and written language skills, be detail and process oriented, organized, and be a self-starter. - Must have the ability to be a customer friendly person with strong interpersonal skills. - Must be able to appropriately handle confidential information.
